Phoibê, la lune brillante, met à l'honneur l'astre nocturne, et son pouvoir évocateur. La construction du châle alterne motifs de jacquard évoquant la lune et le mythe autour de son effet sur les plantes, et des sections de dentelle dont les formes rappellent les croissants de lune. Le contraste entre les parties en jacquard et en dentelle crée un jeu de lumière, subtil comme les ombres révélées par la lumière de la lune.

Ce châle est un grand triangle asymétrique, qui se commence par le plus grand côté et par le plus gros jacquard (parfait pour quand on est encore motivé.e !) et va en rétrécissant. Le jacquard présente peu de croisements de fils et la dentelle est simple.

Taille
180 cm de longueur max pour 90 cm de largeur max.
Attention, la taille de votre châle variera grandement en fonction de votre échantillon. Je tricote plutôt serré. Je vous recommande de suivre l’échantillon pour éviter de manquer de laine.

Couleurs & Laines

Le patron est divisé en deux parties (Multicolore et Bicolore) pour faciliter son tricot.

J’ai utilisé de ArcoIris Yarns, base : 85% Mérino superwash 15% Nylon 400m pour 100g
Ou toute autre laine vous donnant le bon échantillon.

Echantillon
28 mailles / 34 rangs pour 10 cm.
Pour le jacquard après blocage.
L’échantillon est tricoté à plat.

Aiguilles
Aiguilles circulaires.
Aiguilles 3 mm pour le jersey et la dentelle, 3.5 mm pour le jacquard, ou toute autre taille d’aiguilles vous donnant le bon échantillon.

Phoibê, the shining moon, celebrates this celestial body and its evocative power. The shawl’s design alternates between colorwork patterns evoking the moon and the pseudo-scientific myth surrounding its effect on plants, and sections of lace whose shapes resemble crescent moons. The contrast between the colorwork and lace sections creates a subtle play of light, like the shadows cast by moonlight.

This shawl is a large asymmetrical triangle that starts with the largest side and the most intricate colorwork pattern (perfect for when you’re still feeling motivated!) and tapers toward the end. The colorwork sections have few floats to catch, and the lace is simple.

Sizes
180 cm wingspan by 90 cm depth.
Please note: The size of your shawl will vary significantly depending on your gauge. I knit fairly tightly. I recommend following the gauge instructions to avoid running out of yarn.

Yarn

The pattern is divided into two parts (Multicolor and Two-Tone) to make knitting easier.

I used ArcoIris Yarns, composition: 85% superwash merino, 15% nylon, 400m per 100g
Or any other yarn that gives you the correct gauge.

Gauge

For 10cm :
28 stitches / 34 rows

In both colorwork and stockinette stitch. I knitted my gauge swatch flat. The gauge applies to both colorwork and stockinette stitch, so be sure to check both—colorwork stitches are often tighter than stockinette stitches.

Needles

3 mm circular needles for stockinette stitch and lace, 3.5 mm for colorwork, or any other needle size that gives you the correct gauge.
